Carry The Weight

Sun House Ruck Club is a FREE monthly meetup in/around the greater Wilmington NC area.
Our mission is to make rucking open and accessible to everyone while fostering a community that enjoys nature, fitness, and human connection.

“Rucking” is simply the act of walking, hiking, or marching while carrying weight. Weight can be in the form of a rucksack (backpack made to carry weight), weighted vest, or a traditional backpack with any object. The additional weight makes a walk more challenging so you get a better workout, improved cardiovascular output, and strength building.

Our free monthly meetups will take place at parks, trails, and local beaches. We’ll announce them and create invites via our Facebook group, Sun House Ruck Club. Again, everyone is welcome including friends, kids, and dogs. The distances will vary but your ruck is “your own”, meaning you can join for as long or short as you like. What you carry is also up to you. Load a pack with heavy weights or a paperback book. No one will know the difference.

SHF Exclusive Rucks
There will be additional rucks exclusive for members and clients of Sun House Fitness. Those will be announced at the gym and in our private FB group.

Sun House Ruck Ups
We are developing some more challenging rucks for those who are interested. These rucks will be more intense and will level up your rucking experience. Stay tuned.
